Origin of spaghetti spuash:
Spaghetti squash originates from Hai Nam Island, southern China, and it also appears in Japan.
Today, this pumpkin variety has been imported and is being grown in some places in Lam Dong.
Characteristics of noodle squash
- Spaghetti squash has an oval shape, a hard shell and light yellow flesh, looks quite similar to a melon, and weighs about 0.8 - 3kg.
- Pumpkins are grown all year round and can be harvested after about 80 days.
- When squash is boiled, the intestines turn into long, thin, yellow fibers that look like noodles or grated papaya.
- According to many people, squash has a very similar taste to papaya.
- Thanks to its hard shell, squash can be preserved for a long time and is quite convenient to transport long distances.
